Integrity Test

Foundation is and important part of the structural building, the capacity need to be sufficient and also the integrity itself, the size, length, quality of the pile shall meet its specification. To check those parameter, integrity testing need to be conducted. We perform several integrity testing such as;

Thermal Integrity Profiler

•Thermal integrity profiler or TIP is one of integrity testing that utilizes the heat generated by curing of concrete to assess the integrity and quality of drilled shafts, augered cast-in-place (ACIP) piles and other concrete foundations. The test results like necks, bulges, variations in concrete cover and the as-built shape of the shaft, including steel cage eccentricities, can be evaluated.

•The test can be perform by two method, cable wired sensor (thermal wire) and access tube (thermal probe).

•The benefit of the TIP test is the result can be evaluate 12 – 72 hours after casting the pile and it is the most accurate integrity testing for augured cast in place piles.

•The test procedure is based on ASTM D7949

Cross Hole Sonic Logging

•Cross hole sonic logging (CSL) is another integrity testing method that evaluate the integrity of drilled shafts, augered cast in place (ACIP) piles and other concrete foundations by lowering transmitter sensor inside pre-installed tube that emitting the ultrasonic signal and the receiver sensor received the signal on the other tube.

•The defect of the pile can be evaluate by analyzing the first arrival time (FAT) of the signal received. Longer FAT means there is indication of pile defect.

•The CSL test procedure is based on ASTM D6760

Pile Integrity Tester

•PIT is the most popular integrity testing based on one dimensional wave propagation theory. PIT is a simple, fast, and reliable test to check concrete pile integrity.

•PIT was conducted by simply put an accelerometer on flat, smooth and sound concrete surface follow by giving a small impact using a hand held hammer.

•Test procedure is based on ASTM D5882

Drilled Shaft Quality Testing

Our latest flagship product for drilled shaft quality control are SQUID, SHAPE and KODEN. SQUID can help determined the thickness of sediment and the soil quality at the bottom of the shaft, while SHAPE and KODEN give the shaft visualization after boring.

•Test is conducted based on ASTM D8232
