Dr. Ir. Aksan Kawanda, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. was graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Trisakti University in 2002. His deep interest in Geotechnical Engineering inspires him to push his education forward. In 2013 he graduated from his master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering at Parahyangan University. After some professional experiences and achievements, he decided to take his doctorate in the same field, Geotechnical Engineering at Parahyangan University and graduated in 2019.

Right now, he’s the geotechnical expert of PT. Geotech Efathama, a company he founded in 2012. As he’s also passionate in education, he also commits his time as a lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Trisakti University.

He became a member of HATTI (Indonesian Society for Geotechnical Engineering) since 2004 and International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineer (ISSMGE) since 2012. In 2022 he was elected again as Ketua III Bidang Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan for HATTI. Later on, in 2025, he’s chosen to become the Vice Chairman of Specialized Committee for BK Sipil - Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia.

He is licensed as international pile tester by PDI ranked Expert and received certification from LPJK as certified geotechnical engineer ranked J9.

As per 2025, he and his team have worked on more than 10.000 projects nationally and internationally.
